Bark Island Event Fee Change

Effective January 26, 2013, the fees for the Bark Island Event held at Pine Island will be $7.00 for the first dog and $3.00 for each additional dog for those participants that bring more than one dog to the event.

22nd Annual Halloween Harvest Festival

22nd Halloween Harvest Festival will be offered FOUR evenings: October 19/20 and October 26/27 Hernando County Fairgrounds 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm. NEW: Masquerade Ball 10 /27 (9pm – midnight). On all evenings: carnival-type games, hay rides, haunted house, food, entertainment. Friday 10/19: pet masquerade. Saturday 10/20: costume contest for ages 0-12. Effective September 6, 2012 the Hernando County Boat Ramp and Fishing Pier located at Lake Townsen Regional Park, 28011 Lake Lindsey Rd. (C.R. 476), will be closed until further notice due to rising water levels associated with heavy rainfall. For further information, please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 754-4027.
