Committees
The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC).
The Membership consists of technically qualified representatives from public or semi-public agencies
related to urban planning, traffic engineering, mass transit, aviation and/or administration, with responsibility for the control, development or improvement of
transportation facilities. Appointed by the MPO to four year terms.
The Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC).
Membership is composed of twelve citizens: one member from each of the
Board of County Commission Districts; one member from the City of Brooksville; two members representing the public
at large; two members representing the minority community at large; and one member of the transportation
disadvantaged community at large; and a representative from the Florida
Dept. of Transportation. Appointed by the MPO to four year terms.
The Bicycle/Pedestrian
Advisory Committee (BPAC). Membership consists of nine volunteers: one from the Hernando County Sheriffs
Office; one representative from the School District; one member from the Parks and Recreation Department; one
representative from the City of Brooksville; one bicyclist; one disabled individual; one pedestrian advocate; two representatives from the public at large; and a representative
from the Florida Dept. of Transportation. Meetings are held quarterly on
the third Tuesday of the month.
The Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board
(TDLCB). Membership consists of
seventeen members representing all
facets of the community and participating state agencies. Appointed by
the MPO to three year terms. Meetings are held quarterly on the
fourth Wednesday of
the month and are televised on the local government cable access channel.

The MPO is the Designated Official Planning Agency for the these committees. Individual committee members are
appointed by the MPO from a list of applicants. Members are volunteers and are not compensated.
