Housing Authority is committed to advocating and ensuring the provision
of adequate affordable housing for Hernando County citizens, particularly
those with very-low, low and moderate incomes, so that Hernando
County will have strong, diverse and viable communities.

SHIP/HELP Housing Rehabilitation Program
February 13, 2009
Hernando County Housing Authority is accepting
applications for the HOUSING ENHANCEMENT LOAN
PROGRAM (H.E.L.P.). Hernando County S.H.I.P/H.E.L.P
Housing Rehabilitation Program is designed to
provide zero% interest loans of up to $37,000.00 to
help homeowners with the cost of repairs. Homeowners
that may be experiencing conditions in their home
that pose a threat to the health, safety, or welfare
of the household occupants, also if the home does
not meet current health, fire and building codes. |
Housing Repair Funding Assistance Available
December 23, 2008
The
Hernando County Housing Authority is currently
accepting applications for providing housing repair
and rehabilitation funding assistance to homeowners
with very low income. |

Hernando County, FL – Affordable
Housing Incentive Plan (Draft) – This report includes recommendations from
the County’s Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC) to the Board of County
Commissioners. This report will be finalized at the Committee’s public hearing
on December 1, 2008, at 10:00 am at the City of Brooksville Council Chambers,
201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, Florida. The Board of County Commissioners will
consider the AHAC’s recommendations on December 16, 2008, at 9:00 am in the
County Commission Chambers, 20 N. Main Street, Room 160, Brooksville, Florida.
