The Automated Permit Inspection Management System allows callers to use a touch tone telephone to schedule inspections, check the status of a completed inspection, check the status and fees due for an application, and obtain office hours and phone numbers for the Building Division.

Hernando County is actively developing an online, "one-stop permit center". Hernando County Development Department provides online application and issuance of permits for Licensed Contractors who have obtained a user name and password and set up an escrow account. Property owners can use this system without a user name and password for parcel zoning information, inspection and permit status.

Online Permitting & Inspection Scheduling System

Browser Requirements: Internet Explorer Version 4.0 or higher.

This system has navigation and printing features programmed into the screens. Do not use your browser navigation controls, buttons, or any other features within your browser. Instead, only use the buttons and navigation in the screen area.

Printing
To print a screen, right click your mouse and select print.

Instructions on How to Search for parcel zoning information, inspection results and permits.

Navigate to the Connection Page: https://hclion.hernandocounty.us/bldsys/ .
Click on the Connect to Permitting & Inspection Scheduling System button.
A new window will pop up. Click the Continue button in the new window to access system.
(Note: Contractors need a user name, password and a valid escrow account for permit and inspection scheduling.)
If you know the Parcel Key number, enter it at the top of the screen then Click on the Parcel Key button. Otherwise, select the GO TO button to search by Owner Name, Parcel Address or Parcel Number.
(Can enter the Application/Permit number.)
Enter the required search criteria in the space provided at the top of the screen.
Click the Enter button or use your Enter key on your keyboard. A list of properties will be displayed on the screen.
Click on the Select button next to your parcel of interest. This will display the Parcel Inquiry Screen. In the mid section you will find your parcel zoning information.
