The Hernando County Recreation Department is dedicated to providing a quality leisure activities for all our citizens. We strive to offer residents and visitors opportunities for recreation and improvement of physical and mental well-being, through programs and services that enhance their quality of life.

Our primary goal is to provide safe, clean and functional parks and recreation facilities, and to assist in the planning and development of new and improved facilities to meet the continued growth within the county. We are committed to fulfilling our mission through visionary leadership, individual dedication, and the responsible use of available resources.

Hernando Health Experience REGISTRATION DEADLINE: January 1, 2012

On that website be sure to click on Event Calendar for listing of group events you may want to join (most are FREE). ~ ~ ~ ~ Cost for this 12-week program is ONLY $35 IF you register before January 1. After that date cost is $45. ~ ~ ~ Initial weigh in will be Saturday, January 14 (8a - 1p) at the Hernando County Health Department (7551 Forest Oaks Blvd. Spring Hill). BEST PART ABOUT THIS: NO special foods! NO medications! Only small lifestyle changes and great outdoor fun with others. ~ ~ ~ Everyone receives a DVD to watch when YOU have time. DVD guides you through each of the twelve weeks. Choose to stay in touch with us through Email, Facebook & Twitter. 3rd Annual Bluesapalooza Music Festival. Linda Pedersen Park, 6300 Shoal Line Blvd, Hernando Beach, FL 34607 Saturday Sept 17 & Sunday Sept 18, 2011 ~ Saturday 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm ~ Sunday 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Cost is $5 General Admission & $20-$30 VIP tickets. Under 12 is FREE!
