Waterways Division has been moved under the purview of Transportation Services (Formerly Dept.  of Public Works).

Waterways Maintenance Division (Boating and Waterways) is responsible for maintaining the County’s network of aids-to-navigation, docks, piers, lights, and buoys in a manner consistent with applicable state and federal regulations.

In addition,  our well-trained Waterways personnel assist and support public safety emergencies and issues pertaining to waterways and waterfront property.

It is our goal to help promote recreation and tourism on the waterways in a manner that will preserve and improve our natural ecosystem and enhance the quality of marine life in Hernando County.
